Dunning Vineyards
They say that those who chose the road less traveled will generally find something special along the way. For those who chose to do so may we suggest Niderer Road on the West side of Paso Robles. For what you will find at the very end of this road is indeed very special and it comes in the form of a small family owned winery called Dunning.
With an annual production of 2500 cases, this small boutique winery uses a simple formula in their pursuit of producing the very best wine possible. Use only estate grapes, grown in small lots, to create hand crafted stylistic wines. The success o their efforts can be tasted in the wonderful wines produced.
Having moved to the area some 20 years ago, owners Bob and Jo-Ann Dunning, along with their son, Garrett planted 16 acres of grapes on their 40 acre farm in 1991 and realized their first harvest in 1994. Since then, they have dedicated themselves to producing some truly spectacular wines. They include a Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Cab Franc and a Cabernet, each with it's own distinctive structure, body and flavor. Bob's efforts as a wine maker are typical of the reason why Paso Robles vintages are becoming some of the most sought after of all California wines.
Like many of the small area boutique wineries, you can only buy Dunning wines at their tasting room or through their wine club. Those who join their Level 1 wine makers select club receive two one case shipment a year at a 20% discount and Level 2 participants receive two 6 bottle shipments each year at a 15% discount.

Orchard Hill Farm Bed & Breakfast
For visitors to the Paso Robles area looking for epitome in comfort, they need look no further than the Orchard Hill Farm Bed and Breakfast. Doug and Deborah Thomsen, owners and innkeepers live on property and work diligently to insure that the needs of each and every guest are met without exception. Graduates of Cal Poly, Doug and Deborah first fell in love with the area in the late 60's. Returning to Southern California to raise their four children, their hearts remained in Paso Robles. While Doug works as a practicing CPA and Deborah a professional interior designer, they were able to fulfill their dream by returning to the area in the mid 90's. Their eventual purchase and remodeling of Orchard Hill Farm has been a lot of hard work as well as a labor of love. Their efforts have paid off as many of the same guests return year after year to experience the Thomsen's very special brand of "hands on" hospitality.
Orchard Hill Farm has three guest rooms and offers their guests a full breakfast each morning. One of the guests rooms is located in the main house and the other two in an adjacent carriage house. Guests will find easy access to all area wineries, downtown Paso Robles restaurants and other attractions.
